Even though I am not graduated this year as MBA, I was invited to attend USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia) Management Graduate Night last Friday (15-August-08). It is a course dinner event with some stage performance. Usually I will reject this kind of invitation as it takes time to begin with and can be frustrating. Since many of my friends are graduated this year, so I take this chance to say “good bye” to them.

My expectation is correct. Even though the agenda stated that the event will begin at 8:15pm, it somehow starts at 8:45pm thanks to those late arriving VIP. I arrived at 8:00pm and almost wanna leave the hall due to the frustration.  The seat arrangment is also not well organized. Even though there is a unique number on the ticket, we still need to register ourselves at the counter. Strangely, the seat assignment is not according to the number, but first come first serve basis. Even so, eventually guests are moving table to table in order to sit with their friends. Great!

There is also Dean List award presented during the event. The pre-requisite is to have at least 3.50 CGPA and many of my friends are getting it. Most of them deserved to have it (Congratulation :D). Strangely and sadly, I noticed one of my classmates having attitude problem (e.g. late for classes, selfish, irresponsible, etc) also receive the award. Sigh.

The event ends at 11:30pm. The dishes are so so considering the price of the ticket (RM70). If not wrong, they had the same dinner but in buffet style last year in the same hotel (G Hotel) and received not so favorable feedbacks from guests. I wonder why they don’t just simply change the vanue this year.

Anyway, it is not all about bad things for this event. At least there are few pretty girls there… I only able to take some environment photos (no one wanna take photo with me… sigh) so please enjoy.
