One of my laptops is running Fedora 9 now and the reasons are:
1. Because it is free…. legally.
2. Because I don’t plan to play game on it
3. I mainly use it as BitTorrent server running 24×7
4. It has large supporting community and the applications are frequently updated (without any genuine copy validation).
5. My laptop is just an entry level (Compaq C793TU to be exact) and can’t afford Vista.
6. To enrich my computer knowledge.
7. It is always good to have an alternative of anything… including Windows.
8. It supports most hardware officially and unofficially (except my Canon 4400F scanner :().
9. No virus/trojan/etc (This is a very good point and I had nightmares dealing them in Windows)
10. It looks cool when sitting around Windows users :D
