6 Steps to Lower Blood Pressure

18309 For Asian, high blood pressure is strongly related to stroke. Even though there are medicine to lower the blood pressure, prevention is better than cure. Here are 6 steps to prevent high blood pressure:

  1. Stop smoking.
  2. Reduce your weight
  3. Reduce alcohol drink intake
  4. Increase vegetable consumption
  5. Reduce the intake of saturated fat (e.g. animal fat from butter and lard)
  6. Reduce the intake of salt

    Now lemme see which applies to me…I don’t smoke. That’s for a start. But I’m a 2nd hand smoker, thanks to my lame boss who smokes in the office LOL. I don’t drink, I jog almost everyday if I could. I love cheese though *guilty.

    And I hate jams. I think stress is related to high blood pressure no?

    Thanks for visiting my site. Yes, stress will cause blood pressure to increase temporary but the effect of long term stress is still unclear :)
