Fu Wang Special Roasted Duck
Compared to chicken rice shops, duck rice shops are lesser in Penang. Other than the shops I visited in Taman Pekaka (here and here), there is another one at Hutton Road (after KissA Koyotei), namely Fu Wang Special Roasted Duck (富煌烧腊饭).
Fu Wang Special Roasted Duck
It was 3rd day of Lunar year 2009. Decided to buy some spare parts at the CTY Aquatic shop but it was still closed for holiday. So, I ventured down and saw this shop. My first impression on the shop is quite hygiene. The roof, wall, and floor are recently renovated.
Roasted Duck with Honey Roasted Pork
Other than fragrant rice, you can order white/yellow noodle to accomplish your roasted duck. There are Wan Tan Noodle and steamed vegetable available as well. The duck tastes good with honey roasted pork (叉烧) (RM8.00).
The shop is closed on Wednesday according to the sign but I first visited it on Wednesday.

This shop’s roasted duck in my opinion is just slightly above average. You should try the one at Jalan Carnarvon/Jalan Cheong Fatt Tze one. It had “bah leh ko” coated on the duck and the pricing is many fold cheaper than the one you reviewed here.

We went to Fu Wang before but did not post out cause we didn’t find anything average about the place except the price. It was quite and expensive experience!
