In case New World Park is too much for you (e.g. higher food price and horror RM1.00 per 30 minutes parking fee), you can try Maria’s Wan Tan Mee in Golden City Restaurant just next to it (beside Old Town Cafe). You won’t miss it as there’s a banner on it.
The shop opens in the evening. The interior is like old coffee shop and there are only 2 stalls inside – Wan Tan Mee and Mee Goreng stalls. The Wan Tan Mee and the Sui Kow (Dumpling) are quite good in my opinion. Sui Kow is priced at RM0.70 each.
In case you like spicy food, you can try the Indian-style fried noodle (a.k.a Mee Goreng) or Mee Rebus. The different compared to other mamak stalls is that this one is prepared by senior Chineses. The stall also serves fried rice even though I never tried before. The Mee Goreng tastes good with baby octopus in it. I wonder where is the lime….
As a whole, the coffee shop offers decent local food at affordable price.

Waco,
How’s the taste of the Indian-style fried noodle as compared with the one in New World Park stall, as that is prepared by Indian?

Hi ckryan,
Thanks for stopping by. Seriously I never tried the Indian stall before so I visited it last Friday and here’s the update:

that mee goreng is owned by chinese, as they serve delicious Chinese’s style mee goreng & rebus.

Hi gill gill,
Thanks for the comment. Yeah, after I visited the one in Lorong Selamat, it seems that Maria’s one is just average. I prefer “not-so-dark” sauce. Haha…
