Ah Joo Durian @ Sungai Batu

June 29th, 2009 · 2 Comments

As a whole, you should pay this stall at least a visit not only for the famous durian genres, but also other delicious tropical fruit. Of course, you can also let them delivered to your door step if you are staying in Penang island. With so many durians + tropical fruits put into tummy, surprisingly I am still survive and everything is normal as of today. Hoho~

Ecco Cafe Revisited

June 26th, 2009 · 3 Comments

As a whole, the restaurant provides something really different from others – original handmade recipe. The food may be little bit tasteless (which means healthier), but you can always add some salt provided on each table. Since it is near to main road, it is kind of noisy sometime. Other than that it is a nice place to dine in.

BBQ Chicken @ New World Park

As a whole, the food was just average and the previous menu was better. The current menu basically just use the same ingredient and manipulate it to different dishes (e.g. Grill Chicken Rice, Grilled Chicken Pasta, etc) The service in this New World Park branch could be better as well. I was entertained with nonsense TV channel of different language while I am the only customer at that time. The environment is also kind of warm.

Ko-Fu Loft @ Gurney Plaza

June 11th, 2009 · 13 Comments

As a whole, the resturant is yet able to differentiate itself from other competitors in the plaza. Whenever I walk pass this area, I wonder why another Hong Kong restaurant below is so crowded compared to this one. With more competitive price, better service, and more signature dishes, it could attract more customer. Like bird cages hanging on the ceiling, hopefully Ko-Fu-Loft can fly out of it and become successful one day.

Bukotsu Ramen House @ Penang Time Square

June 2nd, 2009 · 2 Comments

At first glance, the ramen looks smaller compared to the screenshot in the menu and tastes average. With the price, there are many other choices in the island. However, the shochu cheese cake is nice.
