I just recovered from diarrhea when my friends and I went to Inaka - knowing them to have buy one free one on Salmon Sashimi (RM23.00). They looked fresh and thick. I knew it was not a good time for raw food but… HACK! Let’s kamikaze!
Inaka is located at Burmah road, besides PERKESO building and same row with The Place 003 007 bistro. Parking should not be an issue during weekdays.
Guess what’s the first thing I ordered? The answer is…. Iidako (RM8.00) – my favorite. The baby octopuses were big compared to some other restaurants.
My friend ordered Kimuchi Ramen (RM13.90) which came in set. It came in big bowl and could be too big for one person.
This Kimuchi Ramen was kind of spicy so I just took a bit to avoid my stomach making “ice-blended cappuccino” later.
This soba (RM12.00) was not in the menu. It came with dipping sauce and a raw bird egg. However, they only have chicken egg that night…. no bird, chicken also OK lah.
How to deal with the egg, you asked. First of all, pour the egg into the soy sauce (soba tsuyu).
Depend on personal favorite, you may add some wasabi.
“Kacau” (Mix) them.
Put some seaweed as desired and voila~ you can start dipping your cold soba with your masterpiece sauce. The sauce, somehow, was kind of salty.
I ordered one bento set (Inaka Bento F - RM28.90) which came with salmon yaki, maki, tempura, tofu, salad, cawanmushi, miso soup, fruit dessert and a bowl of rice. Definitely can fill your tummy.
We liked the maki very much. They were wrapped with shrimp and topped with cheese. Good especially for cheese lover.
The salmon tasted okay.
At first glance, this is a restaurant worth second visit due to its environment and quality of food. It could be a venue for birthday as well (two tables around us were celebrating birthday that night). Surprisingly my stomach still felt okay after eating raw salmon that night. Perhaps an area of improvement is on their sauces in which they can be too salty in some cases. I heard that the same restaurant provided different cuisine last time and was famous with its duck satays.

The kimuchi ramen taste a bit too ‘sweet’ and different with the typical kimuchi taste.
Really looking forward that they can improve their sauce recipe.

Hi Sweet,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, maybe it is a Japanese restaurant after all, not Korean’s.
