Yes, even though it is a small bowl, this is perhaps one of the best Tau Fu Fah I ever tried. Smooth, soft, and fragrant. With customers holding cameras and queueing up, you can’t be wrong that this is a famous soy bean stall. Don’t worry if you can’t find parking as they provide “drive-thru service” as well.

At first glance, this is an old coffee shop you should try when visiting Ipoh. The shop is famous with its Poh Piah, Hor Fun, Laksa, and Satay (even though I did not see people selling Satay that day). Parking is a bit difficult and usually you have to park few streets away during weekend (make sure you buy some parking coupons as well).

At first glance, a dim sum shop worth visiting if you somehow pass by Taiping and if you are seeking for good old dim sum shops. The food may not presentable but price is definitely reasonable. Seats can be limited and dim sum can be “out of stock” if you arrive late.

During my first visit here, not only I saw some locals having lunch here, but also some youngsters. Looks like a popular eating place. Parking should not be an issue here as the owner provides his compound as parking lots. Note that it only open during weekends (Sat and Sun) and public holidays from 10am onward.

I dunno. Maybe I am a “Suah Ku” (Mountain Turtle) such that I need more soup than other people when eating Bah Kut Teh. Maybe I never been to Klang before. Located at D’Piazza, Bayan Baru, heard that the restaurant was opened by employees in an MNC nearby. Definitely Pao Xiang has great idea in repackaging Bah Kut Teh and porks are fresh in general. Six of us spent about RM78.55 that afternoon. In my opinion, they need more localization to make locals happy.

So here it is, RM2.90 + RM9.80 + RM6.00 = RM18.70 for a dinner. Still, I am not full. Definitely there are many stalls in Sg. Penang Food Court for you to choose for, but I guess I will be broke before I tried them all. Parking wise would be a bit difficult as well during peak hour.

As chicken rice shops grow like mushrooms in Malaysia, I couldn’t find any specialty in this shop other than its bean sprouts. Chicken could be too oily for some but I guess we can ask them not to put too much oil. Both of us spent RM21.50 in that shop. Still not too bad. One thing I was not sure about was its business hour, which stated from 10:30am – 2:30am in business card. Wow~ they opened until 2:30am midnight?

At first glance, a place for quick snack before movie or Karaoke begin. The price, however, could be slightly above average plus there are many other choices at 8th floor of 1st Avenue. Maybe I will try their Sorbets next time. The same bus… uh… stall is also available in Sunway Carnival in mainland.

At first glance, the restaurant provides friendly service. There are variety of items in their menu, making this is not just a bak kut teh “stall”. However, the food was just average – a common problem when one tries to focus on quantity. The yam rice (RM1.30) was a bit cold when arrived. It would be better if they are able to add enough fire on food. Will try their other items next time.

At first glance, Sea Wind provides a relaxing environment for couples and friends to hang out. It could be a bit dark for dining but good for activities which require no light (If it is still too bright then there is a motel behind). Pricing wise could be a bit expensive. Don’t worry if you are lonely there as your friends – mosquitoes will accompany you sometimes.
