Located in Taman Pekaka is a Chinese coffee shop called Happy Cafe (新开心饮食中心). It is a corner shop opposite of Tesco Extra and you can easily see it from main road. Usually I park my car in Tesco Extra and walk across the road to save some parking ticket fee.

The shop opens early in the morning till late at night, and offer many food, such as Wan Tan Mee, Economic Rice, Koey Teow Soup, Lok Lok, Char Koey Teow, Mee Goreng, Belacan Chicken, Chicken Rice, and so on. Some highlights are its duck rice and fried rice stalls.

The duck rice is nice with reasonable price. Make sure you arrive there before 1pm or else it may be sold out. The duck rice stall starts its business as early as 8:00am. For the fried rice, it is only available in the evening. Rumor said that the cook is actually an ex-cook from Fried Rice King 炒饭王 nearby. The fried rice is not oily and there are a few kinds of fried styles (e.g. 排骨王,甜醋鱼,扬州, etc). I like its sweet and sour fish fried rice.

The place, however, is not so hygiene. The drink there is also just average. Once I found some tiny bugs in the drink.

As a whole, its duck rice and fried rice are worth trying.
