Shuxin Vegan Cafe 舒心济素馆 @ Sungai Petani

Exterior

Vegan cafes are mushrooming in Penang but for Sungai Petani, we hardly found one other than those vegan restaurants offering both faux meat and greens in “economy rice” style. No doubt they have the most varieties but if you would like to chill out in a cozy environment with a cup of coffee, then there is not much choices in Sungai Petani until we found Shuxin Vegan Cafe 舒心济素馆 (GPS: 5.66011,100.49653).

Cafe 13 @ Sungai Petani, Kedah

Eatsy Bitsy 小不点 @ Sungai Petani, Kedah

Interior

Eatsy Bitsy (GPS: 5.64015,100.50205) is perhaps the only cafe in Sungai Petani with large kid playground at the central of the dining area with toys occasionally flying out and kids crawling between your legs. Despite being a play zone, the food is surprisingly not bad at all especially its fried rice in which we ordered second plate while watching kids wrestling in the ring.

Similar to the latter, most Korean restaurants here are more suitable for mid-to-high income group with some even impose minimum order quantity policy. Specifically for BBQ restaurants, expect one won’t walk out alive if he/she does not have a blue paper note in his/her pocket. Fortunately, we met Bibimbowl (GPS: 5.33879,100.30864) recently.
