Isaribi Tei

One weekday during lunch time, as usual, I was not sure where to eat… so I drive without any direction and passed by Burmah Road. Then, I suddenly remembered an email forwarded by my friend – Isabiri Tei. So, I paid it a visit that day and brought along my friends on next visit.

I must admit that the owner spent lots of effort in decorating the restaurant. Starting from the garden in front of the house to the backyard.

Tori Nasu Miso Yaki Set

There were many choices in the menu. During my first visit, I ordered Jun Special – Tori Nsu Miso Yaki Set (RM18.00 ++). The Tori is similar to the one in Teppan Yaki with the different that this one was grilled with seasoning from Miso soup as well. The chicken was tender and tasted good. It came with rice and salad. Unfortunately, the rice was little bit hard… evident of not enough water.

Note that the salad was nicely prepared with tomato, broccoli, carrot, lettuce, onion, and tiny butter mashed potato.

Grilled Salmon Maki

I also ordered Grilled Salmon Maki (RM17.00++) which came in 4 pieces. Nicely prepared and tasted good.

Beef Cutlet Set

Then I brought my friends for second visit. Figure above shows Beef Cutlet Set (RM22.00++) which comes with rice, Miso soup, and mayonnaise. Tasted good according to my friend.

Smoked Salmon and Unagi Maki

This time we ordered smoked salmon and unagi maki (RM35.00++) which came in 8 pieces. As usual, it tasted good.

Seafood Teppanyaki

We also ordered Seafood Teppanyaki (RM32.00++) to share between us. It came with fish fillet, shrimps, squid rings, scallop, cabbage, and rice. Tasted good. On the down side, the scallop was kind of hard and I hope they will give me more instead of just only one.

Sushi and Tempuara Set

We also ordered Sushi and Tempura Set (RM28.00++), which came with 9 pieces of sushi and some tempura. Sushi were nicely prepared and tasted good. Tempura were kind of cold when they arrived. It also came with a plate of salad.

At first glance, the restaurant provides quality food and nice environment to dine in. The price is at slightly expensive side but it is expected judging on the facts above. The owner is actually a Japanese (Mr. Y. Kayashima). Will visit it in future.
