Hello,
What a hazy weekend. If you want MC, just go out jogging for 1 hour and your wish will be granted. Weather like this should stay at home… such as Home’s Cafe at D’Piazza, Bayan Baru. Yeah, we visited it again after hearing that some items had been improved.
We went there in group this time so we had more items to share. The Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken (RM6.30++) had improved. The curry chicken is tastier now.
The drinks were basically satisfactory, at least no comment so far.
The asam laksa (RM5.90++) was surprisingly not spicy which was good for me. It was, however, too sweet. Perhaps I should not put too much “heh kor” (shrimp paste).
Unfortunately, the only mild dish in the menu – Ipoh Hor Fun (RM5.90++), was too salty according to my friend.
Tom Yam Cintan Noodle Soup (RM5.90++) was not good according to my friends. Why not good remained a mystery. Perhaps it used ready-made Tom Yam paste which lack of the strong aroma from natural ingredients.
One of my friends needed some enlargement so he ordered “Sausages Combo with mashed potato” (RM8.90++). Unfortunately, the mashed potato was cold. The same gravy sauce on mashed potato was used on Chicken Chop and Chips (RM8.90++) , which was again, cold and slightly salty.
This is the “OR” Kuih (Yam Cake) (RM2.80++). Tasted good. Looks ma~ it is a HOME word.
This is Chipolata Sausage (RM5.00++). Chipolata = 吉波拉达 = a small thin sausage. Texture looked nice and good as a snack.
We almost reviewed all the food in the restaurant. As a whole, the food had improved compared to first visit. However, many areas can be further improved (We also noticed some flies around). Thanks for all friends who allowed me to “register” the food before putting them into stomach.

[...] Sg. Petani. Compared to Penang laksa which was at sweeter side (I still remember the one I took in a restaurant… sweet like somebody accidentally poured one bag of sugar inside), this Kulim’s laksa [...]
