Soul Kitchen

January 30th, 2011 · No Comments

At first glance, this should be a good place for locals and tourists to sit back, have a light meal, and relax. However, the wait time could be long due to preparation by hands. If you ask me what is the different between Soul Kitchen and Ecco Cafe – another home style cafe, I would say each has their own specialty. Do pay them a visit if you wish to escape from busy streets.

As a whole, if you don’t mind on slightly expensive price, this is a place to recommend as it provides a cozy and clean environment for dining. The host was friendly as well. A good place to enjoy Chicken Briyani and Sizzling Ice Cream.

Fisherman Village Restaurant 渔村海鲜

January 17th, 2011 · No Comments

At first glance, this is a place in which you can enjoy seafood at reasonable price near to tourist area. The Cheese Bake Oyster and Garlic Butter Fish were a plus. Perhaps the only drawback was the fishermen there who worked as “parking boys” at night and collect bloodsucking RM2 per car. Then, mosquitoes there will suck your remaining blood.

Kemunting Lake View Restaurant

January 8th, 2011 · No Comments

Actually my heard was pounding since we ordered 3 fish meals that day… which could easily hit 3-digit figure. Surprisingly, the overall bill was just RM109.50 for 5 persons! At first glance, you should try their freshwater fishes as they were well prepared with minimum earthy taste. Their menu items could be limited anyhow and other non-seafood dishes could be just average. A good place to hang out with family during weekend. Please be reminded that it closes at night.

Weissbrau @ Straits Quay

January 5th, 2011 · 2 Comments

At first glance, Weissbräu is a good place to enjoy some imported beers. You should try their pork products, namely pork knuckles or pork shanks. Also, they have some unique beers. Pricing wise it could be a bit expensive for cheap labor like me but luckily the service quality was still okay considering it was just a newly opened restaurant. Sadly we couldn’t get their phone number as it was too new that they don’t have phone line yet.

Langkawi Nature Discovery Package

January 1st, 2011 · 1 Comment

I must remind you that this is a very rush package, in which you spent whole morning traveling on sea and you only have half day in Langkawi to visit 3 nature places . Seriously one day is not enough to enjoy every single detail in Langkawi. This package is suitable for visitors who wish to discover the nature but have limited time to do so. Special thank to Encik Jafri for his patient and helpful guide during the day. Also, thanks to Langkawi Coral for the trip.
