Soul Kitchen

Soul Kitchen… there are many reviews around so I won’t be “long gas” this time. Some said that the food and atmosphere were excellent, while some said it was too expensive. One of my friends is now a job agent. One night, I, the cheap labor felt hopelessly and asked her out for consultation on my career so she drove me to Soul Kitchen for the talk.

Ahh~ Chinese spinach in superior stock 上汤芫菜 (RM6.00), a dish in which you can only find it in above-average Chinese restaurant, and I found it in Lam Hooi Cafe 南园茶餐室 beside New World Park at Burma Road, Penang. It topped with preserved egg and anchovy.

P1160736_800

It was one evening in which a good samaritan fetched his colleagues living in Batu Ferringgi back from Bayan Lepas to their home. Deciding where to eat, we eventually went to Teluk Bahang for seafood. There were few seafood restaurants there but the one we went was Fishing Village 渔村海鲜. Two weeks ago I joined a one-day “Langkawi Nature Discovery” package to Langkawi– an island north of Penang. The package was offered by Langkawi Coral– a Langkawi tour agent in Penang. It had been decades since I visited the island. Even though Langkawi is not as well developed as Penang island, it is in fact bigger than Penang, and even Singapore!
