Craving for something spicy (and we mean paralyzing spicy, not the Hokkien-Mee-with-a-scope-of-sambal kind of spiciness) early in the morning? Head to Golden Bowl Cafetiam (GPS: 5.42081,100.32663) at New World Park/Batu Lanchang for a bowl of Tomyam noodle topped with a slice of cheese. Bring along a towel though.
Pan Palace Plaza is a commercial mall located in Taman Lip Sin near Super Tanker Food Court. For years, the plaza is deserted with only two main tenants – Sunshine and Red Tea Garden Dim Sum. The restaurant in this article used to be a Wantan noodle restaurant. Before we managed to write about it, it changed to another noodle restaurant selling fish noodle/porridge, namely Te Wei Noodle Restaurant 特味面食馆.
Due to distance issue and a little narrow road of Perak Road, Penang, I seldom visit restaurants there until recently. There are some changes and developments, including the bye-bye of O2Leaf (replaced with Post Cafe) and new Hungry Fish cafe which we are going to review in this post.
KhunThai Restaurant is no stranger to Penangites especially those staying in Butterworth. It was one evening I noticed a new branch opened in Penang island at Teluk Kumbar (right before Hai Boey restaurant). Last Sunday, we paid it a visit.
It is raining session recently and it is good to enjoy some warm soups for dinner – such as Tom Yam soup. Cherry Blossom used to be a famous Thai restaurant in town which operated more than 10 years ago. Is the Sungai Ara branch as good as before?
Today I bring you a long review on Thai Buffet in Terrace Bay Restaurant at Copthorne Orchid Hotel in Tanjung Bungah, Penang which is located next to Toy Museum with ample parking space. Don’t be fooled by limited car park along the slope. Turn right and you will find more free car park there. There is basement car park as well.
Update 23-Jul-2013: This stall is no longer in operation.
It was last Saturday when a group of bloggers went for… wait… is this a wet market? Not really. It was Siong Ho Fishhead Bee Hoonand Porridge (松和鱼头米粉和粥) stall located inside Hualy Food Court at Weld Quay. You can pick various kind of seafood from the stall.
Sawadeeka~ Today I bring you all far far… far far at Teluk Bahang, which is after Batu Ferringgi if you coming from town. We were invited for a food review at Tree Monkey inside Tropical Spice Garden, a tourist spot in Penang with a lot of herbs and plants for viewing pleasure. I had been there once but didn’t notice that there was a restaurant inside.
(Don’t worry, I am still here. Please add me back to your bookmark.) Last week my friend and I went for Prangin Mall for shopping and dinner. My mind suddenly blanked on what to eat in there as shops over there often came and gone. One shop which stays quite long and successful is perhaps – 涮涮乐 (Shuan4 Shuan4 Le4) which is famous for its Tomyam steamboat. So, we paid it a visit that day. It does not have English name so I just simply gave it one.
